But many people skin was damaged and few lost the left finger and hand as well. So, detection of dead bodies became issue using Aadhar. Earlier, Aadhar helped in getting around 1000 missing people, but in this case particularly it could not help to identify the dead bodies so far.

So, Govt has taken help of Sanchar Saathi, which is an AI tool recently launched and was inaugurated by the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and linked to the railway system as well.
Since the AI system has a lot of photos available, it was able to scan and find the details of the person from the database by just a scan of their photos.
With this, govt got its great success in identifying the dead bodies.
Sanchar Saathi was mainly used to track lost Mobile, or how many mobile numbers tied with aadhar etc. Earlier rule was that one person can have 9 sims but people were having so many sims, so with help of Sanchar Saathi, many connections were removed.

With this feature, it tries to locate the SIM by measuring the signal strength from the mobile phone, the nearest tower strength and taking the signal strength from other two towers with which the towers are connected to each other. After that with this triangulation feature, it could find the approximate position of the mobile in latitude and longitude.
They are also checking where accident happened, How many calls came before accident or went from the train. How many phones are switched off after the accident and before the accident. Along with tracing with the name from the railway database or chart and these angles, they are trying to find maximum details of the dead bodies.
The major issue happened for the general coach people and without ticket people, because Railway does not have any details of their travel.
Govt Packages:
As you also know Govt also declared a consolation package for the families of the dead bodies or the victims.
Govt will give 10 lakhs of rupees for dead passengers, 2 lakhs for the severe injured and 50 thousand rupees for the minor injuries.
